Rainbow Hamlets has been asked to lead the Health and Wellbeing section of the Pride in London parade on Sat 27 June. This year we are turning a Routemaster bus into the Rainbow Hamlets Pride Bus. Better still, we are going to be picking up supporters in the East End and parading the decked out bus through the area before it joins the parade.

Pride in London is the city’s biggest one-day event, and one of the world’s biggest LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer and questioning) celebrations. Last year more than 750,000 people came to Pride in London, and 30,000 people joined the Parade.

We are inviting LGBT+ people, their friends and families, and all our allies to join us! We also know there are people who find it hard to walk in the parade, or have young children and hope many of those will come onboard too. Last year we walked with East End Phoenix football club – the local LGBT team – and the reception was fantastic.  This year start the Pride party early and join us riding with Pride. We will still be walking and holding banners too!

We need your help to make this a success. Please contact us to find out how to volunteer!

Rainbow Hamlets will be at the front of Section D, as the parade forms up on Bakers Street. If you are coming under your own steam please aim to be at Baker Street by noon.  If you want to come from the East End, we need to leave by 9.15 to start to form up at 10am. Once we are at Baker Street you will then have some free time to wonder the whole parade as it comes together.

If you want to be sure of having a seat on the bus, it is best to let us know! Use the booking form on the event page here. For any more information, or to offer to help, please email or call 020 7364 7003. (All messages are confidential).
